The City of Pelotas has been a tremendous challenge for the work. A community that is strongly spiritist with a large number of atheists has often been hostile to the Gospel. In the past year, the First Baptist Church and the Fragata Baptist Church have been planting new works and revitalizing old ones. The change has been dramatic with dozens of persons accepting Christ and at least five works being started or reopened. The challenge remains great and the enemy remains strong but the victory is the Lord’s!
